Create your own bivouac Cooking on the fire Moving in the forest Simple zoology and botany Enjoy and relax Packing list: Tarp or tarpaulin including a few meters of good cord or rope. If you don't have such material, you can let us know. The course will take place in Eastern Switzerland at around 450 - 750 m above sea level. Depending on the weather and the number of people, we will decide at short notice on the exact meeting point. Can I travel by public transport? Of course, we'd be happy to. Contact us and we'll pick you up at a nearby train station or bus stop. How cold will it be at night? The best way to find out the current temperatures is to visit Meteoschweiz.ch or similar web services. Temperatures can vary greatly, especially in autumn and spring, so the most accurate information is the most current information, immediately before the course. Is my bivouac waterproof? Depending on the building materials available, you can assume it is almost waterproof. If it is likely to rain, we recommend having a tarp or sheet ready. Is there also vegetarian or vegan food? Yes, there is. Of course, we cannot fulfill all dietary requirements. If you have allergies or want to pay special attention to something, it is best to bring your own food. How do I go to the toilet? We will build a private outdoor toilet that we can use while in the forest. Are there any animals in the vicinity? We certainly hope so! But we certainly won't be surprised by larger or even dangerous animals. What happens in medical emergencies? We are always in an active mobile network and a vehicle is nearby, so help could be requested very quickly or we can move the person out of the forest relatively quickly. Can children also participate? Yes, of course, children can participate under the care and responsibility of an adult. Can I take the dog with me? Yes very much.
