The original Petromax Dutch oven, often referred to as a Dutch oven, is ideal for cooking and baking outdoors or in the oven at home. Cast iron pots have been around since the 18th century. Even then, the unique properties of cast iron were valued. With the Dutch oven, Petromax continues this tradition and also equips the Dutch oven with a variety of sophisticated details. A robust handle allows the Dutch oven to be lifted safely and a thermometer hole allows the temperature to be checked without having to lift the lid. Another highlight is that the lid can be turned over and used as a pan. The Petromax Dutch oven is available in several sizes, so that the right pot can be selected for the respective recipe or number of people. In the medium-sized version ft4.5 without feet, the Dutch oven has a capacity of approx. 3.5 liters. This means that dishes for 2-5 people can be prepared. In addition to the lid lifter, other accessories are available for the Petromax Dutch Oven, such as the transport and storage bag, the care paste and the ring cleaner for cleaning cast iron. We also offer coasters and inserts made of cast iron grates (suitable from ft4.5 and larger), which above all enable cooking and baking without burning.
